”In Washington DC , at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007, a man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, approximately 2000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After about four minutes, a middle-aged man noticed that there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds, and then he...

For Clarity of Mind
This weekend I got some good natured teasing when I cited “clarity of mind” as reasoning for a gap year after undergrad. My current lack of career direction has me craving reflecting and exploration. People utilizing the moment to make a political statement. Endless quotes about the unity of the American people, the resilient hope that burns...
Courage
Living takes courage. I firmly believe that.
Within the course of our lives, we’ve all developed habits, preferences… things that feel safe. You’re lying if you say that your daily life doesn’t include these things.
Think about it. Just take a moment to think about the first hour of your day.
Your alarm goes off. How many times to do snooze it? Do you set it...
